all work and some play :)

imagine going on a family trip to the coolest jewelry trade show in europe, spending dollars by the thousands (added up as euros, no less) and days and nights with your parents and sibling (or with your kids!)

if your last name is gorman, it's really not that unusual – and the huge business commitments of the trip can easily be as fun and fabulous as the moments stolen for pleasure. (this is where i indulge myself with travel envy and wish my last name was gorman, too!)

the four gormans are just back from the annual family trek to munich where they spent quality time with some of our favorite designers creating amazing new pieces for the coming season. not only that, they discovered some wonderful new talents to fill and brighten the cases back home. their purchases will start arriving soon – how nice that they're sharing their "souvenirs" with us!

but let's not forget play time – they saw incredible sights, ate amazing meals and, luckily for me, took snapshots! i convinced them to let you enjoy their family trip through their photos. smile and say "prost!"
the "kids," nicole and adam, enjoying the chilly sights.
ivan and bonnie say cheese!
ivan + peter schmid of atelier zobel = wicked new designs.
so many marcel roelofs clasps; so little time...
peré from majoral tempts nicole...again.
the best possible way to see gellner pearls: in quantity!
and a very, very good time was had by all!
